Maroa-Forsyth defeats SJO tennis in season opener

Maroa-Forsyth handed St. Joseph-Ogden a 9-0 loss on Thursday (Aug. 17) in the season-opening girls’ tennis match for each school in Champaign at the Atkins Tennis Center.

The Spartans lineup in singles consisted of Caroline Aden (No. 1), Addison Seggebruch (No. 2) Madison Clampitt (No. 3), Lauren Lannert (No. 4), Ella Dieteker (No. 5) and Sonia Patel (No. 6).

Six different players took to the court for SJ-O in doubles. The lineup consisted of MaKennah Hamilton and Addison Ross (No. 1), Lily Rice and Samantha Kelso (No. 2), and Emma Thurman and Olivia Getty (No. 3).

SJ-O will return to action on Tuesday (Aug. 22) at Urbana’s Blair Park.
