Mary Roland leads Heritage volleyball in season opener

Mary Roland recorded a double-double for Heritage on Monday (Aug. 21) in the Hawks’ first volleyball match of the season.
The senior setter handed out 18 assists and had 10 digs, but Heritage dropped a three-set match at home to Paris, 25-23, 15-25, 25-21.
Lilli Montgomery posted a team-high 13 digs.
Loran Tate led in kills with seven. Destanee Morgan landed five kills.
On Wednesday (Aug. 23), Montgomery recorded 14 digs to lead the Hawks to a three-set win at home over Armstrong-Potomac, 25-22, 21-25, 25-20.
Roland contributed 20 assists, seven digs and four kills. Tate totaled seven kills and had one block. Morgan added five kills.
Heritage (1-1) returns to action on Thursday (Aug. 24) at Salt Fork.
