SJO Volleyball rallies to defeat Maroa-Forsyth

In its volleyball season-opener on Monday (Aug. 21), St. Joseph-Ogden rallied from a one-set deficit to post a win at Maroa-Forsyth, 24-26, 25-17, 25-19.
Peyton Williams and Addie Roesch reached double figures in kills with 16 and 10, respectively. Setter Halle Brazelton handed out 24 assists.
The defensive leader, with eight digs, was Sadie Ericksen. Roesch and Williams both contributed six digs.
Ericksen served a team-high two aces and Roesch registered a team-best two blocks.
On Wednesday (Aug. 23), the Spartans continued their winning ways, upending St. Anne at home, 25-7, 25-15.
Williams pounded seven kills and served five aces to spark SJ-O. Roesch drilled six kills and had four digs.
Brazelton doled out 13 assists and contributed five digs. Williams totaled three digs and Roesch added one service ace.
SJ-O (2-0) returns to action on Thursday (Aug. 24) at Bismarck-Henning.
