St. Joseph softball outlasts Mattoon

Raegan Wheatley delivered two hits on Saturday (Aug 26), helping St. Joseph to a 6-5 junior high softball win at home over Mattoon.

Brooklyn Stevens pitched all seven innings and earned the win. She allowed four hits and one earned run. Stevens walked seven hitters and struck out seven.

On Monday (Aug. 28), LeRoy notched a 12-0 win at St. Joseph.

Ashlee Jannusch swatted a double to account for the Panthers’ lone hit. The team’s other baserunner was Stevens, who drew a walk.

St. Joseph (9-4) returns to action on Wednesday (Aug. 30) at home against Danville North Ridge.
