Xander Wilson socked a double and a home run on Saturday (Aug. 26), but Oakwood dropped a 9-6 decision in a junior high baseball game at Prairieview Ogden.

His two-run blast to center field put Oakwood into a 4-3 lead in the third inning.

PVO took the lead for good with a four-run fourth inning.

On Tuesday (Aug. 29), Gifford turned back the Knights, 19-7.

Wilson continued his hitting prowess, mashing a double and driving in three runs. He scored two runs as did Weston Frazier and Kemper Hinchman. Both Wilson and Frazier stole two bases.

Oakwood (2-5) returns to action on Thursday (Aug. 31) at Westville.
