Heritage volleyball defeats Oakwood in two sets

Loran Tate slammed seven kills and Riley Miller added six hits on .750 hitting efficiency on Tuesday (Aug. 29) as the Heritage volleyball team won 25-20, 25-23 at Oakwood.
Mary Roland handed out 22 assists to go with three service aces.
Destanee Morgan and Gracie Tate each finished with four kills. Tate served three aces and Morgan wound up with three digs.
The Hawks raised their winning streak to four in a row on Wednesday (Aug. 30) with a sweep at home over Fisher, 26-24, 25-12.
Heritage (4-1) returns to action on Saturday (Sept. 2) at the Altamont Tournament. The Hawks open with Nokomis at 9:20 a.m. and will face Vandalia and Altamont before noon. The team will have two more matches in the afternoon.
The Hawks also won the JV and freshman matches at Oakwood.
