St. Joseph-Ogden’s Ashten Cafarelli was the medalist on Thursday (Aug. 31) in a three-school boys’ golf meet at Willow Pond, in Rantoul.
Cafarelli carded a 37 and posted a 2-shot win.
Teammate Talan Miller shot a season-best 42 and tied for fifth individually.
SJ-O’s other entrants were Asher Pruemer (48), Devin Swisher (49) and Trevor Ames (52).
On Friday (Sept. 1), SJ-O finished 11th in the Danville Invitational at Turtle Run Golf Course. The Spartans’ team cumulative score was 363.
Cafarelli recorded a team-best 83. Miller posted an 89.
The other SJ-O participants were Swisher (93), Ames (98), Pruemer (101) and Garrett Loschen (117).
SJ-O (3-2) returns to action on Tuesday (Sept. 5) at Willow Pond against Judah Christian.
