Roland finishes second for No. 2 runners at Cowchip Classic

Heritage freshman Clark Roland finished second on Saturday (Sept. 2) in the flighted race for No. 2 runners in the Chrisman Cowchip Classic cross-country race.
Roland’s 3-mile time was 17 minutes, 26.2 seconds.
The Hawks did not have enough runners to be scored as a team.
The team’s other leaders were senior Aiden Ashbrook (seventh in the race for No. 3 runners in 19:06.9), sophomore Eli Denmark-Collins (eighth in the race for No. 4 runners in 19:12.1), senior Cohen Sands (sixth in the race for No. 5 runners in 19:41.3), junior Hunter Montgomery (ninth in the race for No. 6 runners in 21:27.2) and sophomore Josh Stierwalt (fourth in the race for No. 7 runners in 20:04.4).
Heritage will return to action on Saturday (Sept. 9) in the Paxton-Buckley-Loda Invitational.
The Hawks had one competitor in the girls’ division of the Cowchip Classic.
Senior Lillian Montgomery ran fourth in the race for No. 4 runners in 22:50.2.
