SJO tennis wins three singles matches

St. Joseph-Ogden posted wins in three singles matches on Thursday (Aug.31), but dropped a 6-3 decision in a girls’ tennis match at Watseka.

The Spartans’ wins came from sophomore Lily Rice (6-3, 3-6, 10-6 at No.4), senior Lauren Lannert (6-1, 6-1 at No. 5) and junior Olivia Getty (6-4, 6-1 at No. 6).

Another SJ-O singles match went to three sets, with Caroline Aden dropping a 6-2, 2-6, 10-3 decision at No. 3.

SJ-O (1-3) returns to action on Tuesday (Sept. 12) at Mahomet-Seymour.
