Cafarelli wins dual meet against Judah Christian

Ashten Cafarelli broke par for the first time, carding a 35 on Tuesday (Sept. 5) at Willow Pond, in Rantoul, for the St. Joseph-Ogden boys’ golf team in a dual meet against Champaign Judah Christian.

Cafarelli won medalist honors by one shot.

Teammate Talan Miller matched his season’s best, 42.

The Spartans posted a season-low team score of 172. The team’s other scorers were Asher Pruemer (45) and Devin Swisher (50).

Judah didn’t have enough golfers to be scored as a team.

SJ-O (4-2) returns to action on Thursday (Sept. 7) at Indian Springs Golf Course, in Saybrook, against Downs Tri-Valley.
