Rose, Lannert and Getty win against Schlarman

After splitting three of six singles matches on Wednesday (Sept. 6) at the Danville Tennis Center, St. Joseph-Ogden dropped decisions in two of three doubles matches and fell to Schlarman Academy, 5-4.

The Spartans singles’ winners were Addison Rose (No. 2), Lauren Lannert (No. 5) and Olivia Getty (No. 6).

Addison Ross survived a three-set thriller against Anna Lehmann,  6-4, 5-7, 10-4.

Lannert swept Reagan Troglia, 6-1, 7-5 while Getty didn’t lose a game against Je’Lanna Tall, 6-0, 6-0.

A hard-luck loser for SJ-O in singles was Carolien Aden (at No. 3). She was edged by Evy Kelsey, 6-4, 5-7,11-9.

The Spartans’ doubles’ triumph came at the No. 3 position when Sara Kearney and Ainsley Rhoten teamed up to defeat Izzy Bogen and Troglia, 8-4.

SJ-O (1-4) returns to action on Tuesday (Sept. 12) at Mahomet-Seymour.
