Maroon places seventh in 500+ runner field at First to Finish Invitational

Carson Maroon placed seventh for St. Joseph-Ogden on Saturday (Sept 9) in the 548-runner field in the First to Finish boys’ cross-country invitational at Detweiller Park, in Peoria.
Maroon’s 3-mile time was 15 minutes, 21.10 seconds.
He helped SJ-O finish 11th in the 46-team event. Meet champion Tuscola had 27 points. Runner-up Eureka totaled 182 points. The Spartans finished with a team composite of 312 points.
Other SJ-O participants were: Aden Armstrong (31st in 15:59.00), Lance Retz (38th in 16:11.70), Nate Farney (100th in 17:25.30), Joe Griebat (178th in 18:24.80), Holden Jones (204th I 18:43.50), Hayden Douglas (366th in 20:59.80) and E.J. Beckett (374th in 21:04.20).
SJ-O returns to action on Tuesday (Sept. 12) at Monticello.
