Roland finishes ninth at PBL Invitational

Heritage freshman Clark Roland placed ninth on Saturday (Sept. 9) in the 84-runner field at the boys’ Paxton-Buckley-Loda Invitational.
Roland’s 3-mile time was 17 minutes, 1 second.
Heritage ended fourth in the team chase with 98 points. Meet champion Herscher had 31 points and was followed by Tolono Unity (66 points).
Other leaders for the Hawks were Eli Denmark-Collins (16th in 17:48), Aidan Ashbrook (19th in 17:55) Cohen Sands (37th in 19:00), Joshua Stierwalt (40th in 19:11) and Hunter Montgomery (48th in 20:01).
In the girls’ race at PBL, Heritage had just one participant.
Lillian Montgomery ran 31st in 22:59.
Heritage returns to action on Tuesday (Sept. 12) in a meet hosted by Urbana University High School.
