Freshman Rowdy Vick-Phelps posted the top score for the Oakwood boys’ golf team in back-to-back meets to finish the week.
On Thursday (Sept. 7), he fired a 62 at Danville’s Harrison Park against Judah Christian and Georgetown-Ridge Farm. The Comets did not have enough players to be scored as a team.
On Saturday (Sept. 9), Vick-Phelps shot a 117 at the Blue Ridge Invitational, in Farmer City.
Oakwood returns to action on Wednesday (Sept. 13) at Danville Country Club against Schlarman Academy.
