Franklin leads Panthers at Parkside Invite

Eli Franklin was the first finisher for St. Joseph Junior High on Saturday (Sept. 9) in the 55-school Normal Parkside boys’ cross-country invitational.

Franklin ran the 2-mile course in 11 minutes, 58.30 seconds and placed 44^th.

Panthers who followed him were Camden Fisher (62^nd in 12:12.00), Adam Bello (76^th in 12:19.80), Nathan Hinkel (198^th in 13:27.20), Brady Johnson (204^th in 13:30.30), Patrick Clark (205^th in 13:30.70) and Henry McCannon (238^th in 13:46.00).

In the team chase, top honors were won by Chatham Glenwood with 97 points. St. Joseph placed 21^st with a score of 571 points.

In the boys’ open race, the Panthers’ leaders were Sam Zadeh (103^rd in 14:09.20), Kelton Pruemer (105^th in 14:10.40), Alex Weidenburner (141^st in 14:33.00), Holden Hausle (148^th in 14:36.00), Hunter Dilley (149^th in 14:36.40), Tyson Huckstadt (281^st in 15:45.50) and Luke Dunn (293^rd in 15:49.10).
