Franklin leads Panthers at Parkside Invite

Eli Franklin was the first finisher for St. Joseph Junior High on Saturday (Sept. 9) in the 55-school Normal Parkside boys’ cross-country invitational.
Franklin ran the 2-mile course in 11 minutes, 58.30 seconds and placed 44th.
Panthers who followed him were Camden Fisher (62nd in 12:12.00), Adam Bello (76th in 12:19.80), Nathan Hinkel (198th in 13:27.20), Brady Johnson (204th in 13:30.30), Patrick Clark (205th in 13:30.70) and Henry McCannon (238th in 13:46.00).
In the team chase, top honors were won by Chatham Glenwood with 97 points. St. Joseph placed 21st with a score of 571 points.
In the boys’ open race, the Panthers’ leaders were Sam Zadeh (103rd in 14:09.20), Kelton Pruemer (105th in 14:10.40), Alex Weidenburner (141st in 14:33.00), Holden Hausle (148th in 14:36.00), Hunter Dilley (149th in 14:36.40), Tyson Huckstadt (281st in 15:45.50) and Luke Dunn (293rd in 15:49.10).
