Panther cross country finishes 6th at Normal Parkside Invite

St. Joseph’s junior high girls’ cross-country team finished sixth on Saturday (Sept. 9) in the 53-school Normal Parkside Invitational.
Meet champion Edwardsville Lincoln totaled 119 points. St. Joseph had a composite team score of 283.
The Panthers’ leaders in the 2-mile race were Tessa Walker (12th in 12:36.80), Kennedi Dean (31st in 13:09.70), Ava Overstreet (59th in 13:38.60), Avarie Dietiker (91st in 14:04.00), Tabby Brown (94th in 14:04.50), Charlene Barbee (104th in 14:08.90) and Aubree Profancik (225th in 15:27.70).
In the girls’ open race, St. Joseph leaders were Claire Dirksmeyer (25th in 15:00.10), Kinsley Oleynichak (63rd in 15:38.50), Marissa Smith (67th in 15:40.40), Ellie Miller (71st in 15:45.60), Madison Lubinski (92nd in 16:09.10), Kendall Lubinski (112th in 16:22.00) and Payslie Hogan (117th in 16:24.10).
