Panther cross country finishes 6th at Normal Parkside Invite

St. Joseph’s junior high girls’ cross-country team finished sixth on Saturday (Sept. 9) in the 53-school Normal Parkside Invitational.

Meet champion Edwardsville Lincoln totaled 119 points. St. Joseph had a composite team score of 283.

The Panthers’ leaders in the 2-mile race were Tessa Walker (12^th in 12:36.80), Kennedi Dean (31^st in 13:09.70), Ava Overstreet (59^th in 13:38.60), Avarie Dietiker (91^st in 14:04.00), Tabby Brown (94^th in 14:04.50), Charlene Barbee (104^th in 14:08.90) and Aubree Profancik (225^th in 15:27.70).

In the girls’ open race, St. Joseph leaders were Claire Dirksmeyer (25^th in 15:00.10), Kinsley Oleynichak (63^rd in 15:38.50), Marissa Smith (67^th in 15:40.40), Ellie Miller (71^st in 15:45.60), Madison Lubinski (92^nd in 16:09.10), Kendall Lubinski (112^th in 16:22.00) and Payslie Hogan (117^th in 16:24.10).
