Franzen leads SJO at Richard Spring Invitational

St. Joseph-Ogden had its runners split between three races on Saturday (Sept. 16) in the 61-school Richard Spring girls’ cross-country invitational at Detweiller Park, in Peoria.
In the varsity race, Savanna Franzen took 116th in a 500-runner field with a time of 19 minutes, 0.90 seconds. Teammate Chloe Burkhalter was 254th in 20:24.40.
In the freshmen-sophomore race, Hannah Mock placed 188th in 23:19.10.
In the open race, Kiah Riesel came in 98th in a field with 421 participants. Her time was 21:44.0.
SJ-O did not have enough runners to be scored as a team in any of the races.
SJ-O will return to action on Saturday (Sept. 23) in the 51st Spartan Classic in St. Joseph.
