St. Joseph-Ogden soccer shuts out Olympia

In the team’s 12th match of the season, St. Joseph-Ogden soccer athletes registered the squad’s 10th and 11th hat tricks of the year on Thursday (Sept. 14).
Alex Acosta tallied four goals and Zach Harper hit three as SJ-O shut out Olympia, 9-0, in Stanford.
Spencer Wilson and Davin Alvarez added one goal apiece.
Wilson and Logan Mills contributed two assists. Acosta and Nico Harris both assisted on one goal.
Goalkeeper Jacek Slowikowski recorded three saves.
On Saturday (Sept. 16), the Spartans scored a 4-0 shutout win over IVC in Chillicothe. SJ-O has held six opponents scoreless this season, including the last three.
Netting goals were Acosta, Harper, Waylon Jones and Carter Turner. Assists were credited to Mills (two), Alvarez and Wilson.
Jaxson Colvin recorded seven saves.
SJ-O (10-3) returns to action on Tuesday (Sept. 19) at Dick Duval Field against Tolono Unity.
