Fisher and Franklin finish in top 10

St. Joseph Junior High had two top-10 finishers on Thursday (Sept. 14) in a six-school boys’ cross-country meet at Lake of the Woods, in Mahomet.
The Panthers’ pacesetters were Camden Fisher (fifth in 11 minutes, 51 seconds for the 2-mile course) and Eli Franklin (seventh in 12:05).
Other St. Joseph runners in the top 40 in a field of 113 participants were Henry McCannon (31st in 13:37), Sam Zadeh (33rd in 13:39), Brady Johnson (35th in 13:42), Hunter Dilley (38th in 13:50) and Kelton Pruemer (40th in 13:54.7).
The Panthers finished third in the team chase.
Meet champion Mahomet-Seymour totaled 27 points and was followed by Mount Zion (62), St. Joseph (66), Holy Cross (94), Potomac (117) and SMART Academy (182).
St. Joseph returns to action on Friday (Sept. 22) in its own St. Joseph Invitational.
