Heritage sweeps Tuscola volleyball

Senior Mary Roland distributed 22 assists on Monday (Sept. 25) as the Heritage volleyball team won in a sweep, 25-10, 25-17, at home over Tuscola.
Roland also totaled four digs, three kills and two service aces.
Lilli Montgomery contributed 14 digs as well as three aces and one assist.
Providing an offensive spark were Riley Miller (nine kills), Destanee Morgan (five kills), Loran Tate (five kills), Gracie Tate (three kills) and Madi Wilson (two kills).
Gracie Tate finished with five digs and an ace. Loran Tate had five digs and two aces. Morgan added four digs and one ace while Bailee Lubben contributed three digs and one assist.
On Tuesday (Sept 26), the Hawks earned a comeback win at Villa Grove, 15-25, 25-22, 25-21, for the team’s fourth consecutive victory.
Montgomery and Morgan both totaled 12 digs. Roland collected 22 assists to go with two aces.
The offense was fueled by 10 kills from Miller and four from Gracie Tate. Miller also ended with two blocks. Addi Hopper contributed four digs and three aces.
Heritage (14-7-2) returns to action on Thursday (Sept. 28) at home against Okaw Valley.
