Playing at home against the Lincoln Prairie Conference tournament champions, Decatur Unity Christian, on Tuesday (Oct. 10), Heritage held its own, but was unable to pull off the upset.
The Hawks dropped a narrow 25-23, 25-22 decision to the visitors.
Lilli Montgomery had 14 digs and one service ace for Heritage.
Mary Roland collected 10 assists and eight digs. Gracie Tate had five digs and four kills while Riley Miller ended with three kills and one block.
Addi Hopper finished with five service aces.
On Wednesday (Oct. 11), the Hawks recovered from a first-set loss to rally past Meridian, 23-25, 25-20, 25-20, in Macon.
Roland notched 27 assists and six digs.
Montgomery recorded 23 digs. Miller ended with 12 kills and three service aces. Destanee Morgan produced nine digs and seven kills.
Loran Tate registered seven kills to go with one block. Gracie Tate totaled six digs and five kills.
Heritage (17-11-2) returns to action on Thursday (Oct. 12) at Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond.
