PVO girls’ basketball defeats Shiloh

Prairieview Ogden’s eighth-grade girls’ basketball team hit a season’s high for points scored and a season’s best for points allowed on Thursday (Oct. 12) in the same game at Shiloh in a 46-5 triumph.
Atleigh Miller swished a game-high 19 points. Greta Goldenstein came through with seven points.
On Monday (Oct. 16), the Mustangs overpowered Tolono Unity at home, 36-17.
Miller led the way with 14 points. Goldenstein contributed six points.
On Tuesday (Oct. 10), the PVO eighth-grade girls’ basketball team suffered its first loss of the season at home against Armstrong-Potomac/Gifford, 42-30.
Miller hit a team-high 15 points for the Mustangs. Teammate Korinne Travis contributed eight points.
The eighth-graders have an overall record of 10-1.
The PVO seventh-graders have posted three straight wins by margins of seven points, or less.
The Mustangs edged Shiloh on Thursday (Oct. 12) in a road game. Ella Mohr hit 16 points and Kelsie Harms tallied four points.
On Monday (Oct. 16), PVO topped Tolono Unity at home, 23-19.
Mohr was the top scorer with 11 points. Sydney Abernathy chipped in with six points.
On Tuesday (Oct. 10), the PVO seventh-graders handed A-P/Gifford a 23-16 loss. Mohr connected for 12 points and Kolbie Busboom collected nine points.
The seventh-graders have an 8-3 season record.
Both teams return to action on Thursday (Oct 19) at Flatville against Villa Grove.
