Comets volleyball season comes to an end with loss to ALAH

Oakwood dropped a first-round Class 2A regional volleyball match to Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond on Monday (Oct. 23) at Westville.
Ninth-seeded A-L/A-H (14-22) handed the seventh-seeded Comets a 25-12, 25-17 loss.
The Comets finish the season with an 11-18 overall record.
Senior Nikita Taylor led the team in kills (233), followed by senior Luci Morris (183). Taylor also led in service aces (42) followed by sophomore Sophia Hart (30) and Morris (27).
Hart recorded a team-best 123 digs, followed by Morris (113) and Taylor (94).
Junior Quinn Sperry had the most assists (276), followed by Morris (130).
Morris ended with the most blocks (56), followed by Taylor (21) and sophomore Madi Nicoson (11).
