Heritage volleyball loses to Argenta-Oreana in LeRoy Regional

For the second time in a week, sixth-seeded Argenta-Oreana defeated second-seeded Heritage in a high school volleyball match.
The latest win occurred on Wednesday (Oct. 25) in a semifinal match of the LeRoy Class 1A Regional, 25-17, 25-9.
Heritage finishes the season with an overall record of 17-16-2, but lost its final five matches.
According to Maxpreps, three of the team’s four seniors led the Hawks in at least one statistical category.
Mary Roland was the leader in assists (637) and service aces (47). Lilli Montgomery had the most digs (412) and Riley Miller was tops in kills (202).
The fourth Heritage senior was Destanee Morgan, who was second in digs (223) and fourth in kills (97).
The team-leader in blocks was junior Loran Tate (21), who was also second in kills (172) and fourth in aces (29).
Montgomery was second in both aces (43) and assists (40). Miller was second in blocks (19), and Roland was third in blocks (10) as well as fourth in digs (166).
Other team leaders were junior Gracie Tate (third in kills, 122; third in digs, 216; and third in aces, 35) and junior Bailee Lubben (third in assists, 12).
A-O (18-19) will face fifth-seeded LeRoy in the Thursday (Oct. 26) championship match.
