Spartan volleyball loses in Regional championship game

St. Joseph-Ogden fell one win short of being able to play one more volleyball match on its own court.

In the championship match of the Watseka Class 2A regional tournament on Thursday (Oct. 26), the host Warriors downed SJ-O, 25-16, 25-14.

The win moves Watseka (26-8) into a sectional semifinal match on Monday (Oct. 30) at 7 p.m. at SJ-O against St. Thomas More.

SJ-O closes the season with a 29-6 overall record.
