Heritage basketball falls short in last three games

The Heritage Junior High girls’ basketball teams suffered setbacks against Prairieview Ogden (on Monday, Oct. 23), Bismarck-Henning (on Thursday, Oct. 26) and Salt Fork (on Monday, Oct. 30).

The eighth-grade team lost to PVO 38-7, to B-H 34-6 and to Salt Fork 33-13.

Against PVO, Peyton Curry-Varner scored four points against PVO. Kaylee Junglas had two points and Kalyn Miller added a free throw.

Against B-H, Curry-Varner, Junglas and Mariah Spears all had two points.

Against Salt Fork, Junglas recorded five points. Violet Chesnut, Miller and Reaghan Stierwalt all contributed two points. Curry-Varner and Willa Tatman each notched a free throw.

The seventh-graders were topped by PVO 28-15 and by B-H 43-8.

Against PVO, Addison Fleming netted eight points. Junglas had six and Scarlett Eslinger added a free throw.

Against B-H, Junglas made four points. Fleming had two points. Contributing one point apiece were Madilynn Roy and Rylen Stierwalt.

Heritage returns to action on Monday (Nov. 6) at Oakwood.

The eighth-graders have a 4-8 season record. The seventh-graders have a 5-7 record.
