Senior Macie Russell placed 47th on Saturday (Nov. 4) in the IHSA Class 1A girls’ cross-country state meet at Detweiller Park, in Peoria.
Russell’s 3-mile time was 18 minutes, 49.51 seconds. There were 258 competitors at state.
The team champion for the third year in a row was Tolono Unity (109 points) followed by Anna-Jonesboro (157 points), Peoria Notre Dame (224 points) and Eureka (231 points).
There were 30 full teams at state.
