Panthers win Monticello Tournament

Brock Franzen led the seventh-grade St. Joseph Junior High boys’ basketball team to the championship in the season-opening Monticello Tournament.

In a 42-4 win over Prairieview Ogden on Tuesday (Oct. 31), Franzen hit 19 points and Landyn Thome made six points.

In a 53-25 triumph over Tuscola on Wednesday (Nov. 1), Franzen swished 28 points and Kyler Smith seconded him with 14 points.

In a 37-26 victory over Monticello, Franzen led the way with 22 points. Kiptyn Rosenthal contributed eight points.

The Panthers (3-0) return to action on Monday (Nov. 13) at Westville.
