St. Joseph heads to championship game of IESA Regional

Morgan Kearney scored nine points on Monday (Nov. 20) as the second-seeded St. Joseph Middle School eighth-grade girls’ basketball team dispatched sixth-seeded Paxton-Buckley-Loda, 31-12, in an IESA Class 3A regional semifinal game at Hoopeston.

The Panthers (12-9) will return to the court on Wednesday (Nov. 22) to take on Monticello in the championship game.

Following Kearney in the scoring column were Ainsley Dirksmeyer (seven points), Ava Alexander (five points), Avery Haley (two points), Alissa Knight (two points), Avery Lappin (two points), Vivian Smith (two points) and Brooklyn Stevens (two points).
