Mills and Wilson chosen for Illini Prairie Conference first team

Four St. Joseph-Ogden soccer players received postseason honors by the Illini Prairie Conference.
The Spartans’ two first-team selections included unanimous pick Logan Mills (a junior) as well as Spencer Wilson (a senior). They were among 12 players picked for the first team, and seven were unanimous choices.
Mills was the only junior who was a unanimous pick. The other six were seniors.
Chosen for the IPC 15-player second-team unit were SJ-O athletes Zach Harper (a sophomore) and Alex Acosta (a junior).
Mills led the 16-8 Spartans in goals scored (34) and was third in assists (13). Wilson was first in assists (23) and fourth in goals scored (12).
Harper was third in goals scored (25) and second in assists (15). Acosta was second in goals scored (28) and fourth in assists (eight).
Harper tied the school-record for goals in a match with five against Warrensburg-Latham.
Mills had a team-high six hat tricks, including four matches where he connected for four goals. Acosta netted four hat tricks. Harper also finished with four hat tricks.
