SJO girls’ basketball defeats Danville

Addy Martinie scored 18 points and Addison Frick followed with 17 points on Thursday (Nov. 30) as the St. Joseph-Ogden girls’ basketball team reached the .500 mark with a 57-32 non-conference victory at Danville.

SJ-O (2-2) moved into a 22-6 lead after one quarter and led, 37-10, at halftime.

Other point-makers for the Spartans were Addison Brooks (nine points), Katie Ericksen (five points), Kayla Osterbur (four points), Timera Blackburn-Kelley (two points) and Sara Kearney (two points).

Brooks tossed in three three-point shots. Ericksen, Frick and Martinie all bagged one three-pointer.

The Spartans return to action on Monday (Dec. 4) at Maroa-Forsyth.
