Johnson leads Hawks over Hoopeston Area

Cameron Johnson tallied 22 points on Thursday (Nov. 30) as the Heritage eighth-grade boys’ basketball team earned a 47-27 victory at home against Hoopeston Area.
Landin McComas seconded Johnson with 10 points. Colby Schrock tossed in seven points, Christian Paul added six points and Dylan Kirschner finished with two points.
The eighth-graders have a 5-3 overall record and return to action on Thursday (Dec. 7) at Bismarck-Henning.

The Heritage seventh-graders suffered a 48-24 loss against Hoopeston.
Kylan Walker hit a team-high 10 points. Bryson Warren scored five points and Nathan Bonilla collected four points. Registering two points apiece were Maddix Odum and Joao Vega.
The seventh-graders have an 0-8 season record.
