Knights spread out scoring in last three games

Oakwood’s eighth-grade boys’ basketball team has lost three consecutive games, two by margins of four points, or less.
The Knights were edged at Salt Fork, 25-24, on Thursday (Nov. 16), lost at Prairieview Ogden, 42-27, on Tuesday (Nov. 28) and took a 33-29 loss at home on Thursday (Nov. 30) to Rossville-Alvin.
Against Salt Fork, Xander Wilson made a season-high nine points. Other scoring contributors were Lane Stitt (five points), Riglee Hart (four points), Drake Roberts (four points) and Jaethan Perez (two points).
Against PVO, Roberts led the way with 11 points, Nathan Young totaled eight points, Perez added five points and Hart finished with three points.
Against Rossville-Alvin, Roberts scored a season-high 16 points. Perez contributed six points, Young recorded five points and Hart connected for two points.
The eighth-graders are 5-4 overall and return to action on Thursday (Dec. 7) at home against Gifford.

The Oakwood seventh-graders remain in search of their first win after setbacks against Salt Fork (42-7), PVO (38-9) and Rossville-Alvin (40-15).
Against Salt Fork, Bryson Deline tallied three points. Teammates Keatyn Bruens and Kylar Hartley each made two points.
Against PVO, Deline scored all nine of the team’s points.
Against Rossville-Alvin, Deline was the top scorer with eight points. Jordan Flanagan hit five points and Hunter Hubbard made the team’s other two points.
The seventh-graders have an 0-6 season record.
