Huchel, Brewer and Brown undefeated for Oakwood/Salt Fork wrestling

Tyler Huchel (120 pounds), Grant Brewer (150 pounds) and Dalton Brown (175 pounds) all have undefeated records after the first seven Oakwood/Salt Fork wrestling meets.
Huchel’s seven wins include three pins and one technical fall. Brewer’s wins feature four pins and two technical falls. Brown has six pins to date.
The Comets’ team wins are over Toledo Cumberland (64-7), Yorkville Christian (45-28), Woodstock (61-13), Elmhurst Immaculate Conception (42-33), Ottawa Marquette (72-9) and Dakota (70-12).
On Tuesday (Dec. 5), the program kept its winning streak going, overpowering St. Joseph-Ogden 63-15 in the Spartans’ gymnasium.
Through seven matches, 16 Oakwood/Salt Fork wrestlers have at least one win and 15 have at least one pin.
Among the Comets’ other top winners to date are Pedro Rangel (6-1 at 132 pounds), Harley Grimm (5-1 at 215 pounds), Bryson Capansky (3-1 at 157/165 pounds), Reid Dazey (3-1 at 167 pounds), Brayden Edwards (5-2 at 113 pounds), Thomas Wells (5-2 at 126 pounds), Carter Chambliss (5-2 at 144 pounds), Jamison Chambliss (5-2 at 190 pounds), Kade Fleming (4-2 at 285 pounds), Steven Uden (4-3 at 106 pounds), Jack Ajster (4-3 at 138 pounds), Kyler Johnson (3-2 at 165 pounds), and Sailer Harrison (1-0 at 285 pounds).
Grimm has four wins by pin. Edwards, Wells, Dazey and Fleming have recorded three pins.
Oakwood/Salt Fork (7-0) returns to action on Saturday (Dec. 9) in a quadrangular meet at Vandalia.
