Spartans hold on to defeat Normal West

Three players scored in double figures on Tuesday (Dec. 5) as the unbeaten St. Joseph-Ogden boys’ basketball team held on for a 57-55 non-conference win in overtime at Normal West.Tanner Siems led the way for the Spartans with 15 points. Tanner Jacob totaled 13 points and Logan Smith connected for 11 points to go with six rebounds and four assists.Siems also delivered four assists and Collin Thomey also grabbed six rebounds.Coy Taylor added to the scoring totals with nine points. Luke Landrus notched five points and Thomey contributed four points.SJ-O (5-0) returns to action on Saturday (Dec. 9) at Bloomington Central Catholic.
