Johnson leads Hawks over AL/AH

Cameron Johnson hit a game-high 25 points on Monday (Dec. 11) as the Heritage Junior High eighth-grade boys’ basketball team earned a 41-22 win at home over Athur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond.

Landin McComas chipped in with eight points.

The eighth-graders have won three of their last four games.

On Thursday (Dec. 7), Johnson scored 10 points and McComas added five points, but the eighth-grade team suffered a 35-20 loss at Bismarck-Henning.

The Heritage eighth-graders have a 7-4 overall record.

Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond posted a 41-12 decision over Heritage in a seventh-grade boys’ basketball game at Homer on Monday (Dec. 11).

Bryson Warren netted six points for Heritage and teammate Joao Vega contributed four points.

On Thursday (Dec. 7), the Heritage seventh-graders dropped a 38-7 decision at B-H. Warren scored five points and Vega contributed two points.

The seventh-graders are 1-10.

Heritage returns to action on Monday (Dec. 18) at home against Mary Miller Junior High.
