Watseka jumped into a 13-2 first-quarter lead on Monday (Dec. 11) and went on to defeat visiting Oakwood, 57-22, in a girls’ basketball game.
Jaydah Arrowsmith connected on two three-point shots and led the Comets with eight points.
Nikita Taylor contributed seven points, Luci Morris had three points and both Gracie Hanner and Taylor Smoot ended with two points.
Oakwood (4-6) returns to action on Thursday (Dec. 14) at Hoopeston Area.
