Spartans on nine-game win streak

With Tanner Siems recording his second double-double of the year, the unbeaten St. Joseph-Ogden boys’ basketball team won its ninth consecutive game on Tuesday (Dec. 19).
The Spartans posted a 63-45 win at home over Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin. SJ-O outscored the visitors 43-28 in the second half.
Siems had game-high totals of 19 points and 10 rebounds. He also collected three steals.
Tanner Jacob chipped in with 16 points, six rebounds and three assists. Luke Landrus finished with 11 points and seven rebounds.
Coy Taylor was the fourth Spartan to score in double figures, ending with 10 points. Logan Smith contributed seven points to go with a game-high six assists. Smith also cleared five rebounds.
SJ-O made four three-point shots. Three were by Jacob and one was by Landrus.
The Spartans (9-0) return to action on Friday (Dec. 22) at Beecher.
