Rylan White continues to lead Heritage basketball

Rylan White made a team-high 12 points on Friday (Jan. 12), but the Heritage boys’ basketball team lost at home to Argenta-Oreana, 69-36.
White nailed four three-point shots.
Jacob Bensyl hit seven points (including one three-pointer) while Clark Roland and Brennan Struck each scored six points for the Hawks. Anthony Happ swished one three-pointer to account for his points. Brayden Jones finished with two points.
A-O led, 21-17, after one quarter.
On Saturday (Jan. 13), the Hawks couldn’t hold onto a first-period lead and dropped a 53-46 decision at Champaign Judah Christian.
Heritage led, 16-2, after one quarter, but trailed at halftime, 22-21.
White led the Hawks with 18 points, including five baskets from three-point range.
Bensyl scored eight points. Happ and Roland both finished with five points, including one three-pointer apiece. Bensyl also drained a three-pointer. James Dillon and Destin Nickle contributed four points each and Stuck added two points.
The Hawks (3-17) return to action on Tuesday (Jan. 16) at home against Toledo Cumberland.
