Jaydah Arrowsmith and Nikita Taylor each scored 19 points on Friday (Jan. 19) as Oakwood earned a win in the fifth-place game of the Vermilion County Tournament at Salt Fork with a 46-35 victory over Armstrong-Potomac.
Arrowsmith knocked down the Comets’ lone three-pointer.
Rylee Wright scored four points. Teammates Bella Bradford and Gracie Hanner each ended with two points.
Arrowsmith and Taylor were each named to the all-tournament team.
The Comets led, 9-5, after one quarter and 22-15 at halftime.
Oakwood (9-17) returns to action on Monday (Jan. 22) at Cissna Park.
