Sophomore Taylor Owens won two of her three matches on Friday (Jan. 26) in the IHSA girls’ wrestling regional tournament at Mount Zion and secured a berth at sectionals.

Owens was the runner-up in the 140-pound weight class and recorded a pin in one of her wins.

She will return to action on Friday (Jan. 9) at the Peoria Richwoods Sectional.
