Freshman Brooklyn Powell matched her season’s high with 14 points on Monday (Jan. 29), but the Heritage girls’ basketball team was edged by Decatur Unity Christian, 33-26, in Broadlands.
Powell buried a season-high six free throws in eight attempts.
Loran Tate scored seven points and Addi Hopper finished with five points.
Unity Christian led, 8-4, after one quarter and 14-9 at halftime.
Heritage (2-24) returns to action on Thursday (Feb. 1) at home against Argenta-Oreana.
