Jaydah Arrowsmith scored 16 points and teammate Bella Braford notched a season-high 13 points on Monday (Feb. 5) as Oakwood dispatched Schlarman Academy, 54-15, in Danville.
Taylor Smooth registered seven points while Gracie Hanner and Nikita Taylor both fired in six points. Finishing with two points apiece were Hannah Glass, Luci Morris and Rylee Wright.
Oakwood built a 19-5 lead after one quarter and expanded its edge to 36-5 at halftime.
The Comets (12-19) return to action on Saturday (Feb. 10) in a first-round IHSA Class 2A regional game. Seventh-seeded Oakwood will play at sixth-seeded Hoopeston Area at 1 p.m.
