Wells finishes season at Peoria Richwoods Sectional

St. Joseph-Ogden sophomore Maddie Wells won three of her five matches at the Peoria Richwoods Sectional on Saturday (Feb. 10), but ended one win short of advancing to the IHSA girls’ wrestling state tournament.

Wells captured a 10-6 win, registered a pin in 3:51 and had an 8-2 victory by decision, but lost a 12-2 decision in the consolation bracket that would have secured her advancement to state.

She ends the season with an overall record of 25-23.
