Colton Overstreet Shines for St. Joseph-Ogden in Indoor Track and Field Meet at Pontiac

Sophomore Colton Overstreet was the only St. Joseph-Ogden athlete to garner more than one top-15 finish on Thursday (March 14) in a 28-school indoor track and field meet at Pontiac.
He established personal-bests in both events, finishing 10th in the long jump (19 feet, 3 inches) and 11th in the 60-meter hurdles (9.45 seconds).
Teammate Kyler Swanson ended 14th in the sprint-hurdle race, stopping the clock in 9.77 seconds.
Other individual leaders for SJ-O were Charlie Schmitz (sixth in the pole vault at 12 feet, 8 inches), Jackson Ennis (ninth in the shot out at a personal-best 45 feet, 1 inch), Jack Fisher (12th in the 3,200 meters in a personal-best 10:53.32), Joe Griebat (12th in the 800 meters in a personal-best 2:10.53), Colin Wayland (12th in the high jump at 5 feet, 8 inches) and Jack Wear (12th in the pole vault at 11 feet, 3 inches).
Additionally, the Spartans’ 1,600-meter relay foursome of Logan Smith, Wayland, Tim Blackburn-Kelly and Spencer Wilson ran fifth in 3:38.51.
SJ-O will return to action on Saturday (March 23) in the Illinois Prep Top Times Meet at the Shirk Center, in Bloomington.
