Marshall Edges Out Oakwood in Extra-Inning Thriller for Non-Conference Baseball Victory

Marshall pushed across a run in the bottom of the eighth inning on Wednesday (March 27) to deal Oakwood a 4-3 non-conference baseball loss.
Bryson Marcinko had two hits for the Comets and teammate Chase Harrison scored two runs. Marcinko scored the other Oakwood run.
Jackson Dudley and Cort Vermillion both knocked in one run.
Chase Harrison totaled one hit as did Jackson Dudley, Vermillion, Carsen Dudley and Derek Drews.
Chase Harrison pitched the first 4 2/3 innings. He struck out seven and walked two. Alec Harrison worked the final 2 2/3 innings. He did not give up an earned run, but suffered the loss. He walked two and fanned two.
Oakwood (3-4) returns to action on Thursday (March 28) at home against Heritage (0-6).
