Braxton Waller’s Explosive Performance Leads St. Joseph-Ogden to 23-0 Rout Over Charleston

Braxton Waller thumped two home runs and knocked in seven runs on Thursday (April 25) as the St. Joseph-Ogden baseball team took down Charleston, 23-0, on the road.
Luke Landrus and Bryson Houchens also swatted home runs.
Houchens fired the Spartans’ ninth shutout of the season. He yielded three hits while walking no one and fanning five batters.
Caleb Ochs pitched the final hitless inning. He walked one and struck out one.
The offensive heroes were numerous: Houchens was 4-for-4 (with five RBI), Jared Altenbaumer was 3-for-3 and Waller was 3-for-4. Recording two hits apiece were Tanner Jacob, Landrus, Logan Rosenthal, Will Haley and Kodey McKinney. Nolan Earley added the other SJ-O hit.
Houchens provided five RBI. Landrus and Rosenthal each drove in three runs. Jacob, Altenbaumer and McKinney ended with one RBI each.
Landrus tallied four runs while teammates Jacob, Waller, Rosenthal, Altenbaumer and McKinney all crossed home plate three times. Earley, Asher Pruemer, Houchens and Haley each scored one time.
SJ-O (23-2) has a 12-game winning streak and will return to action on Monday (April 29) at home against once-beaten Monticello.
