Houchens and Landrus Power St. Joseph-Ogden to Decisive 15-1 Win Over Herscher

Bryson Houchens poked three extra-base hits – including a home run – and Luke Landrus also blasted a home run on Wednesday as the St. Joseph-Ogden baseball team earned a 15-1 victory at Herscher.
Houchens also hit two doubles. Both he and Waller each delivered three RBI. Houchens tallied three runs.
Landrus and Parker Fitch teamed up on a five-inning two-hitter.
Landrus (7-0) went three innings. He walked three and fanned three. Fitch worked two hitless innings in relief and struck out four hitters.
Jared Altenbaumer contributed three hits and Logan Rosenthal added two hits, including a triple. Nolan Earley’s one hit was also a triple.
Will Haley and Tanner Jacob both landed one hit. Rosenthal drove in three runs. Kodey McKinney finished with two RBI.
Braxton Waller, who walked three times, scored two runs. Altenbaumer, Earley and Rosenthal all scored twice.
SJ-O won all 12 of its games in April and carries a 13-game winning streak and a 24-2 record into its next game, on Thursday (May 2) at Tolono Unity.
