Holloman Shines Despite Heritage’s Struggles in Back-to-Back Losses

Robert Holloman’s double was the only hit by Heritage on Tuesday (May 7) in a 15-0 baseball loss at home to Salt Fork.
Teammate Zaien Smith also reached base after getting hit by a pitch.
Brennan Struck and Lukas Miller each pitched two innings. Struck fanned three batters and Miller registered two strikeouts and didn’t permit a hit.
On Wednesday (May 8), the Hawks dropped a 7-3 decision at Cerro Gordo/Bement.
Holloman cracked a two-out, three-run homer in the fifth inning, knocking out the Broncos’ starting pitcher. His homer also drove in Alex Bensyl and Smith.
In his last three games, Holloman is 4-for-8 at the plate.
Rylan White suffered the loss despite recording a season-high 11 strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings. Reliever Haiden Davis struck out the lone batter he faced.
Heritage (2-19) returns to action on Thursday (May 9) at Casey-Westfield.
