Spartan Power Surge: St. Joseph-Ogden Softball Dominates With 11-Game Winning Streak

St. Joseph-Ogden’s softball team extended its winning streak to 11 games after starting the week with three wins in three days.
On Wednesday (May 8), the Spartans topped LeRoy, 10-0, behind a three-hit pitching performance from Madison Stevens (9-3).
The shutout was the third of the year for Stevens, who recorded one strikeout.
Addy Martinie swatted three hits and knocked in three runs. Timera Blackburn-Kelley blasted a three-run home run. Teammates Addison Frick and Grace Osterbur both contributed two hits.
Frick and Chloe Harper each scored twice.
On Tuesday (May 7), the Spartans topped Danville, 14-4, at home on Randy Wolken Field.
Martinie drove in four runs. Martinie ended with two hits as did Frick, Osterbur, Hayden Dahl, Grace Goldenstein and Chloe Harper.
Osterbur delivered three RBI.
Crossing home plate twice each were Frick, Osterbur and Harper.
Blackburn-Kelley picked up the win in relief. She struck out six batters in 3 2/3 innings of one-hit relief.
The week started with a 6-3 victory at Tuscola.
SJ-O (27-6) returns to action on Monday (May 13) at Charleston.
